Hello, I'm Lisa!

My own love story began on the last day of my freshman year of high school. A friend of a friend hopped into the back of my mom's minivan to ask if he could have a ride to the beach. Fast forward a few decades and I am now married to that high school sweetheart, and we regularly take our two beautiful and hilarious toddlers to that very same beach.

After high school, I graduated from Rutgers with BA in History and Psychology, then received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Monmouth University. I jumped into a career teaching history for grades 6-12. For many of those teaching years I also worked alongside my best friend as an event decorator. As a decorator, I truly found my love for photography as I documented the details of beautifully styled weddings, birthday parties, bridal showers, and galas. After getting married to my best friend and reliving our wedding day through photographs, I decided to expand my photography beyond the event details and to use my camera to capture the candid moments shared between loved ones. 

After having my first daughter in April 2020, I made the unexpected decision to leave my teaching career of 10+ years. Funny enough, my teaching background and experience with children of all ages has proved helpful in this business. Particularly when I am corralling large groups, managing rowdy groomsmen, or convincing toddlers and teens to crack a smile.

Now, as a mother of two young children I am keenly aware of how quickly time flies and how important it is to pause and capture all of the moments. My family, friends, and loved ones inspire me to document the smiles, laughs, and memories shared during the ordinary and extraordinary events in our lives. It is my mission to capture those candid, loving moments for each of my clients.
